Meet Our Board

Monique Purcell
Chairperson

Monique was appointed as a Director of Detour House Incorporated on 28 November 2019, and became Chair on 30 November 2021. She is also the Chair of our Governance, Risk and Systems Subcommittee and is a Member of our People & Culture Subcommittee.

Prior to this, Monique was a Director/Board Member of Northern Beaches Interchange (now Ability Options) between 2009 and 2015, one of the largest disability and employment service providers in NSW.

Monique is a Director of Tembo Consultants, a management consulting firm with a deep understanding of the culture and complexities of professional services and financial services organisations. Her primary areas of expertise are in strategy and governance, including client feedback, market segmentation, competitor analysis, coaching, brand positioning, client/sector focus, tenders and proposals and capability development.

In 2021, Monique graduated from the Governance Company Directors Course at the Australian Institute of Company Directors and in 2001 completed a Bachelor of Arts (Marketing and Media) from UNSW.

Monique is committed to building capacity within the organisation to ensure DHI is providing the best services to our women and girls. Monique is also working with the senior management group to develop a staff recognition and wellbeing program to ensure we recruit and retain exceptional staff.

Kyle Westgarth
Treasurer

Kyle Westgarth is a dedicated advocate for organizations that make a meaningful social impact. With a rich background in social enterprise, strategy, analytics, and financial management, Kyle has cultivated a diverse skill set that spans both commercial and purpose-driven sectors. Her professional journey has led her to her current role as General Manager at social enterprise, Two Good Co.

In her capacity as General Manager oversees all facets of the commercial business and impact programs. She thrives in the dynamic world of social entrepreneurship, where innovation meets purpose, and results are measured not only in dollars but in the positive transformation of communities and lives.

Kyle has strong educational foundation, including a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Sydney and an MBA from the University of Technology Sydney (UTS). As a graduate of the Company Directors Course at the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD), Kyle also brings a wealth of governance knowledge and strategic insight to her leadership role.

Davanh Inthachanh
Secretary

Davanh Inthachanh has been on the DHI Board since August 2021 and has held the position of Board Secretary since October 2022.

Davanh has extensive HR leadership experience and leads the HR Subcommittee at DHI.

She has been the Director, People and Culture at the Seven Network for the past seven years, responsible for driving change to develop and build a fully engaged and high performing culture and team. Under Davanh’ s leadership the People and Culture team has helped to drive and enhance business performance by implementing people initiatives focused on employee engagement and performance & development.

Davanh’s passion for creating a supportive and rewarding environment is admirable. Her dedicated focus on employee wellbeing has been instrumental in moulding Seven into a dynamic, high-performing and engaging workplace.

Davanh’s commitment to diversity, equality, and inclusion shines brightly. Her efforts have been instrumental in Seven’s achievement of its inaugural Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan and recognition as Employer of Choice for Gender Equality.

Davanh is passionate about developing individuals and teams. Her unyielding work in improving outcomes for junior staff, particularly women, has paved the way for the next generation of leaders.

Davanh holds a Bachelor of Business from UTS and a Master of Human Rights from the University of Sydney.

Kristen Stanleick
Board Member

Kristen has over 20 years of local and international management consulting and project management experience helping drive strategic initiatives and operational efficiencies for multiple clients, across a broad range of industries including Financial Services, Telecommunications and Sport.

For the last 8 years she has been working solely in the Not For Profit sector, sharing her expertise in Continuous Improvement, CRM, including Salesforce.com, and Project Management, to help drive positive change. This has given her great insight into the challenges charities face across many areas including Marketing, Fundraising, Impact and Client Engagement.

She is passionate about supporting women and has been a volunteer mentor with the RAISE Foundation and a volunteer stylist and workshop facilitator at Dressed For Success.

She heads up the Marketing and Strategic Partnerships Sub-Committee as part of her role on the Detour House Board.

Sandra Kervin
Board Member

Sandy has worked in the community not for profit space for over 35 years, with over 20 of those years leading non-government not for profit organisations to achieve sustainability, creditability, and partnerships, while growing strong and passionate teams whose primary focus is on the people weare there to support.

As well as working within leading organisations she has also had a strong commitment to giving back and volunteering on numerous NfP Boards for 35 years also.

Sandy has undertaken numerous studies at some amazing institutes such as UTS, Sydney Uni, Uni Western Australia and Deakin University, to follow her passion in humanities, these include community welfare, leadership, disabilities, governance and work health and safety.

Sandy is a lifelong learner and enjoys keeping her knowledge current.

In 2018 Sandy was asked by the Premier Gladys Berejiklian to join The Premiers Council on Homelessness as the Women’s Representative, she held that position for 4 years.

In 2019 Sandy was invited as one of only two Australians to attend The Global Women’s Leadership Forum in Iceland. This amazing opportunity gave her the unique opportunity to meet Julia Gillard (the other Australian invited) who was presenting her past and current work, and world women leaders who brought passion and drive to make the world a better place for all.

Sandy has been on the Detour House Inc Board since May 2018 when she joined as a casual vacancy and was appointed in Nov 2018 as a Board member.

She has a passion for equity and giving people in need a hand up. She wants to see our women and girls have the opportunity to have a life worth living and to make choices that are safe and rewarding. She believes in the programs and teams that work at Detour House and The Girls Refuge.

Evrithiki Diinis
Board Member

Evrithiki has over 15 years’ experience as a senior leader and program management expert across social impact, education, governance, infrastructure, not-for-profit and government sectors gained in Australia and Ghana.

She has held senior roles at TAFE NSW, Institute of Economic Affairs – Ghana and currently with the Port Authority of NSW and has provided advisory services to She’s a Crowd and to the Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Domestic Violence Network. In 2016 she established the social enterprise IDEY KOKO a limited-run streetwear label made in Ghana which provides sustainable income to a collective of micro-businesses.

As a purpose-led individual and the Chair of our Services Sub-Committee she is passionate about helping Detour House Inc to evolve and improve the lives of as many women and girls as possible.

Evrithiki is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, a Fellow of the Social Impact Hub and has a Bachelor of Communications (Social Inquiry) and a Bachelor of International Studies (specialising in German language and culture) from the University of Technology Sydney.
